Friendly People

According to the Dalai Lama, to whom this issue of our magazine dedicates several considerations, the sources of our happiness are physical well-being, the possession of material goods and having friendly people close to us.

The group photo published on this page of the magazine has a special value for this magazine: it was taken during the celebrations for Roman Walks’ first year, on June 9, 2019. We had started with this publishing project exactly one year earlier, at the Gianicolo Hotel in Rome. In the photo we are on the panoramic terrace of one of our “hotel partners”: the Albergo del Senato al Pantheon of director Ann Johansson, a friend of our magazine as well as Elena Prandelli, director of the Hotel VOI Donna Camilla Savelli and also a friend of Roman Walks.
It is to Friends that I dedicate this editorial. To those ‘friendly people’ who, as the Dalai Lama says, enrich our lives thanks to their support and their contribution. Thanks to these friendly people, our publishing project, after one year of life, has already become a media-partner of TTG of Rimini. One, albeit small, reality in the world of media. An eccentric voice that communicates the “vision” of a creative studio (Ca’ Art Studio), of authors and artisans united, in large part, by our creative photography laboratories (Image Factory) and by an influential family and Roman publishing group (Lozzi Editori). Thanks, therefore, to our friend and publisher Roberto Lozzi and his constellation of publishing houses, among which our greeting goes out in particular to Cesira Lozzi and her Iter Edizioni, as well as to her sister and art historian Maria Antonietta Lozzi. Friendly people that I would like to thank are Gaetano Pedullà, editor of the newspaper La Notizia and our co-editor; Floriana Cason, art director and partner at the Studio; the many and extraordinary authors and collaborators at Image Factory, and Stefania Costantini’s TperTradurre (translations). And then, the partners and friends of Roman Walks, to whom goes all our gratitude: Zetema, with its president Francesca Jacobone and publishing manager Laura Silvestro; the Association of Historical Shops of Excellence of Rome with its president Stefano Pizzolato; the International School of Comics of Dino, Giorgia Caterini and Francesco Moriconi; Ilaria Dalle Nogare’s tour operator Dolomiti ClubRes; the typography NewLab of Giuliano Goffi; Francesco and Pierluigi Roesler Franz and their Historical Archive of Watercolours by Ettore Roesler Franz. More friends of Roman Walks to thank are Uri Bahbout and his Hotel Carmel, Maria Rosaria Caracciolo and Guillermo Mario Pricolo with their Caracciolo Management, Ulisse Benedetti and his Teatro Tordinona. Lastly, the magazines and media partners: Saverio and Andrea Cambiotti’s Il Ventriloco, Loretta Santini’s Elliot Edizioni, Bruna Condoleo’s Ars et Furor, Palombi Editori of Francesco Palombi, and East West of Giuseppe Scognamiglio. Thanks to you, Friends, “source of our happiness”.
